Sierra on the News -- Not being able to speak does not mean I don't have a lot to say - I am a very social person
Middle School History Class -- There are accommodations that can be made to be equally academically competitive
Montana Youth Leadership Forum -- As a delegate to the Forum I spent 5 amazing days learning to be a self-advocate and establishing both short and long-term goals for myself. I found my worth as a young person with severe disabilities and developed self-esteem that had previously not existed.
IEP Presentation -- It is important to take the lead at your own IEP meeting. I made my own goals that were specific and appropriate to my aspirations of being a motivational speaker. I was a high school senior and it was the right thing to do. These goals were educationally based and the IEP team was in agreement.
Council on Exceptional Children Conference Presentation Rehearsal -- At the dress rehearsal for my presentation at the Montana State Conference on Exceptional Children, I was introduced by my high school speech language pathologist. This presentation was the fulfillment of one of my IEP goals.
CEC Conference Questions & Answers -- Following my presentation at the Council on Exceptional Children, I was open to audience questions about my life after high school and career goals.
